Thinking of doing this with my car. No good reason but I thought it might be good for the future problems to get a baseline.

Mine is a twin gauge both measuring PSI. Anyone done this and got any comparison values for a Cerb 4.5 they want to share. The only instructions I have is to start at TDC and 80psi.

P.S. feeling dead pleased with myself again this week as all this hot weather has let me do some of my best 2 pack touch up spraying yet. .

Sprayed both front windscreen pillars in the most difficult to spray colour (maroon) and they look perfect if I don't say so myself, so feeling rather smug. Not quite got the confidence to do a front end spray yet but not far off.

Leak downs for any car should be in the region of 2-3% on a cold engine

bloody hell, think you are a bit optimistic there. I thought 20% was a pretty good engine when its warm, let alone cold !!!

Surely you can't mean 2-3% on a cold engine as there wouldn't be much value in doing a cold leak test, and if you did manage to get those tollerances at cold the engine would sieze when at operating temp ???

The Cerb slaps about like anything when its cold, I rekon I could drive a small bus passed the pistons when cold.

Couple of people at work were convinced my car was knackered when I used to start it from cold in the winter .
