Indicator access

I mentioned a while ago that one of my indicator lights had fallen backwards out of the bodyshell. I have ordered some sikaflex to reseal it, but obviously need to get behind the body panel to clear off the old sealant and re-fix the light fitting.

It looks like there is a removable panel under the back of the light pod (driver's side) - has anyone taken a look at this and know what's behind it? I am loathe to take it off and find that half my wing falls to pieces TVR-stylee!

do you mean the round disk in the wheelarch? Take off road wheel. Then just unscrew and remove (and unpeel the black mastic).

There are two access panels each side. A round one behind the headlight and a square one below it.
I had all the panels off when replacing the head lamp reflectors.

IIRC its easier to get to the indicator via the lower square one. Note if its the near side and you have air con then the square panel has the drier bottle mounted behind it.

However, my memory of it all is getting a little hazy. Replacing the headlamp reflectors was so traumatic an experience I had to be booked into a Swiss Clinic for therapy afterwards!
And not forgetting all the surgery to try to find my fingers in amongst all the Sikaflex
