Interesting AJP8 transplants?

Ok, as far as I know the AJP8 was/is used in the Tuscan racer, some Formula 3 type single seaters, our friend SprintV8 is building an AJP8 Dollomite Sprint and the very tasty AJP8 Sagaris that races in the Tuscan Challenge.

So do any of you know of any other applications, one off racers etc that use this wonderful engine.

Has anyone ever stuck one in a Westfield/caterham 7 type car?

Indeed that would be good, I would love to fit one in some kind of super light dragster, just a minimal chassis, solid rear end and simple slush box! (just a day dream I think at the moment though)

The Mark 1 Escort one is finshed, I think it had its first race at the weekend, driven by 'the little one' from Top Gear - I forget his name now !

Not arf, now down to 800k as well.
It's only an S3 body though on a cut down chassis, everything else is Cerb apart from a few tweeks to the suspension pick up points and stiffer chassis.

Yes it is the orange Escort, and it does look good !! I now know it hasnt raced yet, it's being christened at Snetterton weekend after next (so I'm told)

Bloke I bought my ECU (TVR) from know's of a Lotus Elan running a AJP8 4.2 and it lives in the States.

Whilst not meaning to undermine a profeesional job, isn't that a body transplant rather than an engine transplant?? ie Tuscan racer with modified Sagaris shell.

What is the AJP's price? Are there any new engines available?

What nice installation, suppose being a 70 degree v8 its quite narrow, fits in there a treat!
