Possibly clutch problem?

Got into the Cerb this morning, started it up and had real difficulty getting it into gear, especially reverse.
Drove to work, 3rd & 4th gear were fine, but 1st & 2nd required a lot more effort to get into, especially if stationary.
It was the same on the way home......
The bite point and feel of the clutch don't seem to have changed, it just seems that the clutch isn't quite totally disengaging :-(
Has anyone got any ideas?

Are we talking new clutch?
It could well be fingers, if it is, then expect it to go completely very quickly.
And yes, new clutch time. But it could also be fluid, so check your level (easy enough to do) and try bleeding the system.
This has happened to me twice now.
First time, same as you hard to engage gears whilst running (engine on)
Joolz changed the seals in the master (the one in the pedal area).
Played up again, after the Brands trackday.
Take off the air box (drivers side) cut away the bathroom sealant ,
remove cover to cylinder, if you see black bits floating about, your seals have gone.
If you can not see any fluid top up, DOT5.1 and see what happens.
I have a funny feeling a trackday or hard use of the clutch can force a bit of fluid past the seals, as I said top up and moniter.

This is what happened to mine, Hard to get into to gear and then no clutch at all. The pedal still felt firm and no loss of fluid. I bled the clutch via the nipple close to the windscreen PS it was a bitc* to open. Then sent it to the garage they had to replace the slave cylinder as well, all in £1406.00.

Turned out to be a duff clutch, it was only 18 months old, unlike the last one, all the fingers were perfect, the two springs had fell apart on the other side of the clutch.
I've had a new air con rad fitted as well, £2000, ouch
Apparently the chassis is in decent nick, so I'm considering keeping the car for another year.
On the plus side, the car almost managed the 20 miles home, without developing another fault
Alas, as I left the motorway I can now here a sort of "chug chugging air sound" coming from the bottom of the engine, hopefully something to do with the exhaust :fingerscrossedsmiley:

Right.
Have just "bled" the clutch.
I say "bled" cos i ended up with most of the fluid all over myself, as my tube was marginally bigger than my nipple!
However, it now goes into gear, which it wasn't doing before.
Can't be bothered to test drive it tonight, the pubs are calling. Will give a try on the way to work tomorrow.

Not yet, I've only had it for about six weeks and only spent about £2500 so far, but that did include a voluntary service.
I'm taking the view that i'll sort out all the issues with it and then it'll be a goodun!
The cash for the clutch will have to come out of my headlight conversion fund......
