Exhaust bracket mod

Has anyone developed an improved exhaust bracket to prevent the tail pipes from moving around too much and banging?

I've added a link pipe to mine just before the back boxes, seems to have added some rigidity.

That looks good, but do you still have the rubber bush thing that attaches the exhaust to the back of the chassis closing plate? Mine keeps failing and I've got a solid mounting (a bolt if you wanna be techinical) in now but the vibration through the chassis is a bit of a pain especailly since I've gone back to decat pipes.
Really wondering if the exhaust needs the extra support that gives or not.

Try strapping two tie wraps around each rubber mount, it stops it moving around and keeps it high, if it's good enough for TCS it's good enough for me.

I had assumed the banging was caused by the exhaust moving up and down rather than sideways and that this was caused by the length of the tailpipe from the nearest bracket.I was going to try and make a bracket that would extend towards the tailpipes that would allow an extra rubber bush to be added to each tailpipe. However if the mods suggest in the previous posts work then I'll give them a try as they sound easier...

No mine hasn't got the rubber bush support. When i get my new intermediate pipes fitted i'll have a look at where it is possible to add some more support and then post up the results.

i've just had another quick look under my car and its been sorted already, it has the link bar between the back boxs and the rubbers have got the cable tie conversion thats 2 jobs i won't have to do when i'm under the car fitting my new leven drop links.....

Excellent! I have been planning to do that for a while. Glad to see it works... I have a day off on Friday, so it looks like time to dig the hacksaw out!
