running a cerb in autumn/winter

does everyone lock their cerb away over the cold months or are they useable and driveable throughout autumn and winter?

aside from waxoyling, what other winter preps to people do?

I've driven all my TVRs straight through the winter, and believe it or not there are some people who think I'm insane. But then I just gibber and foam at the mouth a bit and they go away again!

Waxoyling definitely, and regular washes to keep all the nasty grime off the coachwork. Do keep and eye on oil levels, and more to the point, oil/engine/diff temperatures - I always felt my Cerb ran better in the cool crisp weather, but don't forget it's going to take much longer to warm up both because the ambient temperature is that much lower, but also you'll be taking it rather easier on the throttle than you would on a dry summer hoon.

Frankly there's no reason you shouldn't drive it through the winter, especially as a Cerb is a hardtop anyway. Just do do do DO be careful on wet / greasy / leaf strewn / icy roads, as she'll bite even harder than before. Having said that, if you come through it in one piece you'll have learned yet more about car control and your own capabilities (or lack thereof)!

Oh, and yes, they'll go out and play in the snow too

Mine gets used year round. Precautions as what RL said.

If you can handle the Cerb in the snow and get used to controlling the throttle, I think it improves you as a driver and you can make use of that control in the summer

I used mine throughout the winter last year and it was fine, obvoiusly try and avoid salty days and use a decent underbaody treatment on all its nooks and crannies paying plenty of attention to the outriggers

taking my griff in for inspection so have that crappy nervous feeling. gonna stand my ground because i know he wants a sale.

cant wait to use the cerb through the next few months. i'll be straight off to an indie for a thorough waxoyling.

dont rely on it in subzero temp, more often than not the window freezes in the up position stopping you from gaining access

got a trusty jazz that I can can call on. engines are made of indestructible materials

My Cerby lives outside and i have not had any problems due to it doing so, i use it all year round and i did use it every day for the first three years.
There are some great days in the Autumn and Winter and i also feel it runs better with the crisp air.

Don't forget to block-up your air con distributer box above your right knee.
I froze last winter until I had done that !
