HT lead firing order

Just put my cerbera into a local garage to get the altenator checked. They decided to removit to check it. they told me that they had to remove the HT leads from the car to remove the altenator. It doesn't seem to be running like it was. Just wondering if they were replaced in the right order.
Can anyone tell me their correct position. I.E Clockwise for the odds and evens?

This will be a big help befor I decide to spend serious money.

If they're connected up wrongly then you'll have at least two cylinders that aren't firing at all. This will be horribly obvious the moment you start the engine and you definitely won't be driving it far like that. If you're only wondering whether they're connected the right way round, I think it's a safe bet that they're right.

Can't see why either. Probably dropped something in the engine and had to remove the leads to retrieve it. printed off the info on coil packs and firing so off to have a look. Thanks for the help.

anybody done a drawing of the engine bay from above showing the ht leads as i might try to change the leads and plugs without removing the air boxes??? (unless thats the only way)

there is a regular fault on the HT leads that once disturbed the sheilding breaks on the ht leads and they start shorting. it is possible that when changing the alternator that this happened... i reckon they just need replacing

check this out as i think your pic is wrong ??? 5 and 7 are the wrong way round ???

Rats. Sorry guys. Its an old version of the png I generated from the visio drawing.
My visio drawing shows the correct sequence as per the corrected diagram.

I've updated the piccie above to show the correct sequence.
