Alarm Reset

Can anyone tell me how to reset the alarm on my car please? When I close the doors and and press press the 'arm' button on the fob, the indicators flash 4 times and the green led in the car flashes very quickly. According to the handbook, this means that the alarm has been activated or there is a fault. How do I reset the alarm to make the indicators flash only 3 times and the led flash slowly (as described in the handbook)? BTW 98 4.5 Cerb.

Mine flash four times - always have. I think you have to hold the button down for sixteen seconds to reset it though...

Mine has always flashed 4 times too. Seems to work OK, though. Unit was sent off to be re-set and new fobs supplied prior to me taking delivery of the car.
