Had a fantastic day, already looking forward to next seasons visit.
Although, I may need to visit before that to get some pratice in for Quarry!!!!

Hi Tim,
Nice shots-sorry i couldn't make it-still awaiting parts delivery.
Harewood do a sprint driving school. I had booked to attend erlier this year but had to cancel when the engine went wrong. I am planning to do it early next year before the first event as I have never been there before. Are you interested if I get the details.

Sounds like an excellent idea Jes, I'm convinced the track is narrower than the Cerb' in places. Well that's my excuse anyway

I did the driving school and the advanced driving school this year. The advanced day has less instruction and lots more runs but both were great fun. There were only a couple of us not in race suits and there was a very wide variety of cars (Micra to Lola, Mini to F355).
The track is certainly narrow, though I managed to stay on it mostly. I only hit one cone and that was with a rear wheel so I was happy enough. The Griff and the F355 had crunchier experiences.
just remember - you can hit the last 2 flakkers and get a time... but you get a failed run for hitting the first.
But remember - hitting them does slow the meeting down, and someone has to run from Quarry to put them back - and the more times they have to go out... the tireder they become... and the less chance of a 3 timed runs being fitted in

We had an off just out of the hairpin (CaptainBeaky has a piccy I think, of the aftermath - no reg plate pls if you do want to post it ) Much more crunchier than all of those, and still not totally repaired!!!
Is the T350 ok? doesnt look like much damage?? Its not often that Paul makes a mistake... worrying.

As an ex Cerbera owner, there's obviously a healthy weighting towards TVR's :-)

me and my dad met you at shelsley walsh hillclimb earlier in the year,the car looked in similiar condition to that there picture,

Bit of mud out of the hairpin with the right rear wheel, (just out of shot in the first picture, thats turn in to it though.) Then tried to correct it for just a smidge too long and ended up hitting a tyre wall. First practice run of the first event of the season.
He's made alot of progress on the repair and seems to have learnt alot during. The timing wasn't great, I was still trying to get my car back together when it happened, so there was no back up option. Luckily the Cerbera is a very strong car and with a headlamp lense in place, it remained fully road legal and competed in various events since - in varying states of repair. For those that dont know, the Cerbera is my Dads only car.
Thanks Captain Beaky - they look great. That was a new edition for the second run, a Le Mans proven composite material, mainly consisting of Gaffa Tape and Fibreglass.
DC53 - Do you remember whether there was a scruffy young bloke about 6'2" (probably sunburnt/ wearing a cap) - if so, I was at that event - if not, you may have just met my Dad. Feel free to come over and say hi whenever you see us at an event, always nice to meet PH'ers!
