I never thought I would find myself writing this but unfortunately the beast has got to go.

I am looking to sell/PX it against an Audi RS4 Avant and need some pricing advise for what to sell/PX it for.
4.2 on a 97 P plate
Had an engine rebuild about 3K miles ago. Total milage on car 37,500
I have the Tuscan wheels, uprated radiator, sports exhaust, de catted and I have the cats for MOT purposes, brand new (yesterday) new tyres, tax MOT, service history that is so big its like an encyclopedia, new clutch 4K miles ago, upgraded new style Bell housing, Covered headlights and afterburner rears, clear indicators, checker plate dash, 1K Clarion and JL Audio sound system with hard drive head unit, new pads, braided brake lines, silicone hoses, the list goes on!

I thought somewhere between 14 and 17K but just wanted to make sure I wasn't deluding myself considering it is/was my special baby!
Over 12K spent on it in the past 2 years so someone will get a real bargin sorted car!

BABY FORCES SALE
Always makes me laugh that. They are crying sleeping crapping machines until they are about six months old. They're not standing there with an Ouzi pointed at your head saying 'sell the Cerbera Motherf--ker'
What you really mean is the woman has got at you and you have to sell the car to fund a 'sensible' car.
Sincere sympathies mate.
You will of course, regret every moment without the Cerb, it will grow into resentment and over time this will lead to binge drinking to try and forget. This is turn will lead to a breakdown of your relationship and quite possibly an affair by either her/you/both of you. My advice for the sake of your child and relationship is keep the Cerby and buy a £1000 runabout to lug the pram and stuff.

Why baby forces sale??? I've got 3 kids and wouldn't even consider selling. I may even have a fourth on the way some time next year, so the eldest will either have to walk every where or go with the wife!!!
The kids love the CERB, the wife hates the CERB, I love the CERB so the majority wins!!!

Think £15k is top whack as there are a lot of cars around that vintage for £13-15k on the classifieds here. I've been considering buying and think over £15k for a 97 is a bit hefty.
Not that I've owned one and hence experienced the pain that a major pop can cost, but if it isn't stretching you financially at the moment then I'd try to hang onto it.
One of my mates has a little un on the way soon and has accepted this will mean less going out drinking for him so he's using his beer cash for the baby fund.
If I were you'd I'd just pick up an elderly volvo or audi or summat to satisfy the wife's safety needs.
Everyone knows women are strangers to logic at the best of times, and when they are pregnant they get even worse.
Just say no.

When I was looking to buy a TVR my girlfriend said that they all had only two seats so they were not practical just in case we had any kids. So I showed her a cerbera at a dealers, who told us that we could fit child seats in it. I still have my cerb after two years and now have a one year old who is very happy in the car, even if the girlfriend has gone off it now.

Well, you're not allowed to have the airbag turned on with a rear facing baby seat in the front. The VW dealer wanted £120 to disable it on a collegues Passat and another £120 to enable it again. No such problem with the Cerb.
No ABS, No traction - No problem - depends on how you drive it. With your child in the car you'll be driving it with kids gloves anyway.
Noise - not really an issue. We always hoovered around the kids sleeping in their pushchair/pram etc - get them used to the noise then they sleep anywhere. My 8 year old fell asleep int he car on the way back from the local club meet last night. Nothing surprising except that a Type R accord was tight on my tail and I wasn't hanging around.
Keep the Cerb for special (especially as you've sorted it), you've got the BMW for running around in
Totally agree with much that has been said here. I have a 2yr old and am saving my deposit for a cerb exactly because (well partially at least) the 3 of us can fit so it can be used for more than just me hooning alone.
My wife and I both had a test drive last week and while I loved it to bits, she at least saw that the car wouldn't eat you without some provocation (Although she did say you could easily die in that...and you need some advanced driving training...and you should do track days to "get it out of your system"...!), that she really rather enjoyed driving it and that there was easily enough room for the three of us.
A micro-person may be a pain in this regard, but realistically that is only for 9 months until they are in front facing seats, then it is job done. Why deny yourself the luxury of a fully sorted cerb for 9 months that it may not be practical for three?
I urge yout o reconsider....or at least for another 6 months until I have enough saved to take the beast off your hands!!!!

Thanks for all the comment, believe me having just come back from Tuscany and the fun I had in the car there this is a real heart ache.

I have an Audi A4 Avant at the moment and am giving her that as it has loads of space for the push chair and all the other baby related stuff, plus it is safe and reliable, hence I would be left with the Cerb as my only car. As we currently live apart (very long story!) I need to have a another estate for all the bits for me to carry as well as work stuff and have space for the house stuff as i'm still doing up my house!
I have a bike but can/will not sell that so unfortunately the Cerb is the one that has to go.
On the price, I want it to go to a good home so if anyone is interested and wants to make an offer given the new info on the pricing then please just let me know, more photos and further details available etc:

Perhaps baby forces sale is a little incorrect! The Mrs has a clapped out Tigra that needs changing anyway. I have an Audi A4 Avant at the moment and am giving her that as it has loads of space for the push chair and all the other baby related stuff, plus it is safe and reliable, hence I would be left with the Cerb as my only car. As we currently live apart (very long story!) I need to have a another estate for all the bits for me to carry as well as work stuff and have space for the house stuff as i'm still doing up my house!

Well, having posted the advert on PH classified ads, I was inundated and agreed a sale on friday night, will be truely gutted when the new owner comes to collect it but it is going to a good home.
the car currently has a private plate on it and speaking to DVLA this morning it may be a few weeks before the game of reg process is completed. Has anyone got any helpful tips about how to speed this process along?
