Different seller ID so not sure if someone is trying to turn a quick profit or what is going on, unfortunately I think the car will be getting a bit of a stigma attached to it.

What does the warranty cover though, is that for the engine or the whole car. It is a 1996 model so aftermarket warranties that cover the whole car will usually be either impossible to come by or impossible to claim on. What if the chassis is shot? Not saying anything negative about the car as I don't know it, just saying that it is all a bit odd.

Did they do a 4.5 on an N plate?

Probably all perfectly legit and if I hadn't bought min last year this would now be parked in my garage.

Also check the dash and the different indicator bezels and new temp guage in place of the clock.

I would not want to speculate what might be wrong or right with this car, it does have cover but only for the engine.
Not a bad buy, I might even offer him 5k for it.

Its the same one as before that everyone reckoned was a bargain at 11k... looks like a good deal to me, wonder how much its putting out?

ridds - they didnt, this was a 4.2 but has been completely rebuilt to a 4.5 - with stage 2 heads.

It is a bloody bargain. It doesn't matter about the age of the car, just look at what has been done to this car to get it up to the spec that it is. It makes me laugh how potential new owners will "risk" £10-£12k on an early 96-97 4.2 that most probably hasn't had anywhere near the work done to it that this car has, yet they let this one pass by, doesn't mean that this one will be trouble free but how many Cerbs are no matter what condition they are sold in? It has at least got to be worth a look for anyone in the market for a Cerb, the guy is quite clearly desperate to get rid (probably for financial reasons), so someone is going to get a £12.5k bargain.

I think it was off the road for over a year having the re build done.

It would be enough to put me off the car for good.

I reckon it's a good buy for someone & judging by the last ebay sale, £11k looks like it buys it.

Off the road for a year, eeek, I wonder if he rememberd what the car looked like let alone felt like driving, then he gat a tax bill from hell after paying out £21k odd...

I hope that is all his bad luck in one swoop for the next 5 years or so poor bloke, sound like he needs a break.
