Possible immobiliser problem

Car has been off the road for over two months after some ****** drove into the side of the car whilst I was parked. Finally got the car pack from the repairer and the garage have said the car will not run properly ( keeps cutting out ). Tried the car yesterday pressed the key fob and the ignition sounder came on but no fuel pump sound, on pressing the black button the starter would turn but obviously the engine would not fire.
Have tried disconnecting the battery for a while but still no joy, also now when I press the key fob I do not even get the ignition buzzer and the starter does not turn either.
The fuel pump has no power to it, the inertia switch is made and all fuses appear to be ok. It sounds like the immobiliser is playing up ?.
Does any one know (off line obviously ) of how I can by-pass the immobiliser to rule it out ? please email me through my profile. Also any suggestions would be appreciated.

Not sure about the problem but as you say sounds very much like the immobilizer. Give these people a ring or email them, www.tvruk.tv, 01730 231772 they should be able to give some good advice.

Have you tried playin around with the little silver key thing? The ome that none of us ever touches!
