If the Water Temp is reading OK, I'd say the oil temp is OK too, but I really dont know as an oil Temp guage is non standard.

Ruddy hell Nick, where did you learn your english, and where did you get hold of an oil-temp gauge?

If you are stuck in traffic then yes I used to see quite high temperatures on mine even though the water temp is normal at 95-100 with the fans kicking in as they should.

Does it come back down when you are moving again? Where is your sender located?

If this is happening on the motorway then forget what I said.

Theres another thread - well 2 actually - about the Oil Temp running at 140. Has thetre been a sudden surge in people buying oil TEMP guages?
