Just to say hello guys. Just joined the madhouse. I am selling my 5.5ltr cobra to buy a 4.2 or 4.5 cerbera.Around 98/ 99/ 2000 do i need to know of any major probs ?? i know the speed 6 had probs!! Thanks guys.

Welcome, why you selling the Cobra ?

The speed 6 cerbera was prone to problems because of the engine, the 4.2's and the 4.5's are more reliable but only just, me and my dad have had no end of problems with ours!

I see you are from Essex, snap, Yellow Peril is the Ro for the mid essex tvrcc, and they have a great meet every second sunday, you should drop her a line and come down. There are always loads of tvr owners there to offer advise and show you round their cars.

we had the cobra club join us a few months ago, maybe you were there?

we have a 4.5 cerb and would be more than happy to show you around it

If you are sure you want a cerb go along to the meet, BUT if you dont know whether to get one.....DONT GO!, all they will have to do is start that engine up, and you will have one!. :P

Hi dan Im used to hearing lovely throaty sounds with the cobra side pipes. Do you think the cerb will sound better??

All i can say is.......YES!!!!!.
First question before you buy a cerb is... Do you like your neighbour's?
If so, you want it loud! make sure you get a sport's exhaust, and also get it decatted it will POP, BANG & FLAME

if its pops, bangs and flames you want then I know budaholics 4.5 cerb is up for sale in the classifieds its a beautiful car and he has looked after it well, you wouldn't go much wrong with that one. and it would be great to see a fellow pistonheader buy it too

Just had a look ar budaholicks car Loverly car i would love it .But i have to sell my cob fierst. I didnt think i would ever sell it as i built it . But i cant wait for it to go!!!!!!!!!! So as to buy a cerb.

the next meet is on Sunday 8th October

keep an eye out on general tvr, yellow peril normally starts a thread on where and when to meet a few days before


would be great to see your cobra too, they sound awesome

Tell me, as an experienced man, is it reasonably feasible to install the Ford 4x4 drive train from the Cosworth when building one ?
