Is there anywhere on ph where I can find out about the location or contact info of Cerbera owners? The members directory is a tad unhelpful in this case. I'll explain...
Two weeks back I was working in the garden when the loudest engine noise I've ever heard passed the front of my house. I missed the car but presumed it was one of those dustbin-exhausted Skylines. Then last weekend he came again, this time I managed to get to the front of the house as he left my estate, and to my surprise and delight, it was a Cerby.
I am looking to buy a Cerby in the new year to replace a high-powered Caterham I sold last year. My wife loves the pics of those I've shown her in the classifieds here, but I'd like to show her one in the flesh. If I could contact the chap who visits my estate, I'm sure as a proud owner he might spare us 5 mins. We both want a more civilised car that the Caterham, but still distinctive and fast. The hard top, aircon and rear seats mean we can all go out as a family. My interest in A-road screamers has morphed into the desire for a GT car. The Cerby is the best I've considered (I've even looked at Nobles at twice the price - love them but the Cerby wins).
The chap who visited our estate has a beautiful deep red car with a tan interior. I'm guessing by the descriptions I've read here that he has a decatted exhaust, because it was popping and gurgling quite fantastically. It was also louder than God.
He has a quite unusual reg in terms of spacing, problem is I can only remember the first half. It was something like this "H1 0 XXX" the x's being the letters I can't remember.
I live in Redditch, just South of the M42 East/West section. If there are other local Cerby owners who wouldn't mind my visiting them (or they are welcome to show their car off at my house in exchange for a cuppa) please get in touch.

I have looked at the web sites for a few, including the Coventry guys and one in Inkberrow, but none appear to have a Cerby in.
Nick Whale used to sell TVRs in Bromsgrove but they only deal in Lotuses (Lotii?) now.
Happy to entertain other suggestions, but if they're not local, I'd rather try and find some local owners. At the end of the day I would enjoy hearing about the owners' experiences too. Reading about such here is great (I reckon I've read most of the entire Cerbera forum by now) but it's nice to be actually shown what you're all talking about.

Or alternatively, find out where your nearest TVR CC meet is and pop along to that. Im sure you will find one or two obliging Cerb owners who would take you and the Mrs out for a spin

Have a peek at the TVRCC region map and click on those local to you to see when they meet and who the regional organiser is.I live down the M42 near Sutton Coldfield, i'm not sure if i have decats or not but i defintely have a sports exhausts, its nice and loud and it gurgles, pops and bangs all the time and your more than welcome to pop round i'll take you out for a spin.

TVR CC meet in Meriden I think, third Sunday of the month.
Me and Simonkd don't live a millions miles from you (J2 on the M5) & one of my customers has recently bough one, he's in Rubery (J4 M5)
The car club meetings aren't my cup of tea (I hate meeting at a pub & not drinking), but there's always a few Cerbs at Meriden, and if you let me know I'll have a blast over & see if the above two fancy coming as well.
Your free to have a passenger ride in mine, and I haven't met a Cerb owner yet who wont chew your ear off about their car

Great. Thanks Tripps. Useful web site. I Googled for all the dealers and never thought to check out whether there was a club.
I'll make an effort to get over to Meriden for the next meeting. It'll make a change from digging in the garden (trying to make as much use of myself around the house before I buy the next toy car).

RussellM, I agree about meeting in a pub however I still meet up with the local Lotus 7 club in a pub, because they are people I know and the pub serves great food, and lastly because you get to kick tyres and peek into engine bays. I like the idea of meeting at a pub, but I've got terrible will power & it's better for me not to go in a vehicle anymore (10 year ban next time).
There's only so many pints of J20 with lemonade I can stomach.
Now on that note, it's gone five & I'm out of here. I'm off for a couple of Magners (once I've dropped the van off of course)

I live in Wythall and i'm in Redditch quite a bit. I have linked decats and yes it's bloody loud, could of been me. Often pop into Redditch good shooting ground and my son goes to the swimming club. If you want any info or a run in the car give me a shout, email me.
Hi Mars ,just went through your post again and it is me, number plate fits. Was in Redditch last sunday at the ketucky, a guy informed me a black Cerb had been there about 5 mins before I arrived. Have you seen or heard of him. I saw him filling on the A435 a couple of months ago.

Theres are 3 regular ceby's at the meriden meeting, Mine-4.2 (or my dad's however you like to put it
) cirby/Jon-4.5(which is one of the loudest you will hear) and also Alan-4.5
Warning i am not responsible for my dad not shutting up if you come along (that's if we get the car fixed in time for the next meet

As RUSSELLM said, we're both only half hour drive from you. Give me a shout if you want a viewing, a spin, whatever, weather permitting. She's a 2003 4.5 with Blue Flame sports pipes with baffles removed. Sounds sweet. E-mail via my profile and we can sort something.

I live in Rockford Close, on the main straight, before you hang a left at the top. I think your car sounds awesome and you've changed my mind on the colour of the car I want to buy too. I thought I fancied black with tan leather, but the red you have is lovely.
If you're in the area again soon, I'll try to flag you down.
