Help required with TVR interest

Friend need help reference TVRs
He loves Chims, Griffs Cerbs and has seen and driven mine and would love to own a TVR however he doesn’t know anything about cerb.
He has seen a lot of Griffs and Chimara with high miles but hasn’t seen many Cerbs with lots of miles on the clock and wonders why?
He is very interested in the Cerbera which model is the best one?
Also considering Cobra's loves the look but doesn’t like the fact that the hoods always looks like an after thought.

I've just bought a 4.2 1998 from Offord (pick it up tommorrow).
Basically there are 3 engine variants:
4.5 V8
4.2 V8
Speed Six
Engines are produced in-house (by AJP).It is also possible to get a chipped version of the V8 called a Red Rose. Which is even faster than the 4.5 litre V8.
Maintenance costs they say budget for £3K per annum.
Cerb is a 2+2 the only 'family car' from TVR.;-)

Staggering performance for the money. Since they are hand-built you have to accept quirks such as the occassional electrical fault.

Thanks C3ber, I bow to your superior knowledge. I'm just learning about Cerbs (pick up the keys tommorrow).

I think it's because most owners are too scared to drive them all the time and they get left as weekend treats.
I, on the other hand, am completely mad and have now got 70k miles on the clock. There are madder people out there with even higher mileages.

Went for a blast this morning, I'm a very happy boy. The girlfriend is a little bermused by the fact that I traded in a reliable Toyota for a quirky British supercar, but she knows me.
I've been dreaming about owning a TVR since I used to walk past Harrogate Horseless Carriages when I was 18. Next objective is to get myself much more mechanical.
PS Already had the alarm play up, see my post. I did my research and I know what I'm letting myself in for (I think GULP!!!), all part of the fun.
