Just got car back from a service + map'n'induction. What an improvement! Loads more torque, but best of all it now hangs on to the power to the mid 7s (which is what I had specifically requested).
MOT was a pain in the rear though, as they failed me on all the usual stuff (i.e. handbrake, emissions and number plate).

Got them from Paul at Austec/Tim at ACT.
Only problem Greg (as I was warned about and now has come to fruition) is they do start to discolour due to the heat (taken 18 months to get bad enough for me to think about changing them). Cost about £35 each pipe IIRC.

I was warned too. Is your discolouring bad then?
P.S. The other morning your car was flaming bootifully - virtually on fire - made my morning on what was a grey wet day.
I wouldnt say it was 'bad' Peter, but its certainly noticable. Tim did recommend black pipes, but I wanted to be the first with coloured pipes 
Re; Flames. I had a feeling something was going on. One of the things its in Austec for was suspected cracked manifold. Car was popping and banging at almost any revs if I lift off, and what sounded like flames running all the way down the pipes (you know that 'woosh' then pop sound?). Thought there may be some fireworks, but from your description it was worse than I thought and a good job I got it to the menders.
Still, fun while it lasted

Black pipes are the best option as they hide any discolouration, Joolz also tries to recommend to customers that black pipes are the best option. I'm suprised that yours have started to discolour so quickly though as all of the ACT pipes are meant to be flouro lined which should prevent them from happening. Also if you go for black pipes then flouro lining is not required which may push the cost down (about £3-5 per pipe). My original Whirlwind pipes are purple and flouro lined and are holding up quite well at the moment. I still wouldn't put anyone off getting coloured pipes though as they look great under the bonnet, although on some pics I've seen they look a little bit weedy, if they do dis-colour then after a couple of years you can just get them replaced at around £350.

They're not bad enough for replacing yet Jules, but have certainly started to go a bit beige
on the kink. I'll take a photo when I get a chance and stick it up.

I'll take a photo when I get a chance and stick it up.Shouldn't affect them too much and if they are going to go then it'll be on the point of stress, which is the kink or bend, although as they are made from a mould there shouldn't be a stress point, might be worth checking the fit to see if they have been fitted too tightly. If they start to dis-colour badly then whip one of the pipes off and check to see if the flouro-lining on the inside is still in tact, as if it starts to peel away from the silicone then due to heat it can "bleb" up and break away.
