After fitting a new oil pressure switch and window runner guides, I am stumped at those frigging purple pipes! Arrrrggghhhh!!!
The air is blue in my garage and many cigarettes (I only smoke when doing mechanic stuff) are being smoked.

I tried putting them on from the bulkhead first, then the front first but I end up getting to the 3rd from last one and the previous pipe is right over the hole where the next one goes!
At this rate I will not be able to make the mid essex meet.

I find if you put all the pipes on the inlet butterfly's first ( from bulk head) then put the air box's on. Could be an easier way though.

I agree with TTP.
That way you can see that they all line up with the air boxes before fitting the boxes.

Ok, drama over.

After sitting down with a nice cuppa, I regrouped, gathered my thoughts and went back out for whatever round it was. And with some silicone spray and persistance, I got there.

Thank fcuk its all back together again. Hopefully it won't be raining tomorrow and I can take her out for a shakedown.

I know exactly how you feel. When I was first testing and fitting prototype Whirlwind pipes it was a nightmare, I was also trying to cut them to size and due to the angle of the butterfly inlets and the tapered and bent shape of the pipe it proved quite awkward the first time. A bit of practice and attaching them to the inlets first (as TTPaul has said) is the easiest way, especially with the std purple piles sorry pipes

I WAS close to ripping them off and phoning TCS to order the whirlwind kit. Very close.
Think I will try the other approach next time. IF theres a next time...
