What are the steering geometry settings?

I know this was posted previously but I can't find the thread and "search" is off.


The man doing my wheel alignment doesn't have the settings for any TVR's in his machine.

The settings I have are

Camber Degrees - 0.5 to 1.25 negative both front and rear

Caster Degrees - 3.5 to 4.5 positive front (rear n/a)

Toe Minutes - 10 to 20 in, both front and rear.


Mine's a '97 4.2


Does anyone know for definite if these are correct?

wotcha .. dont know but the TCR manual online says the same as you do ...

Im sure I was told tracking toe in of 20 rather than 10

I need mine set up as ive just changed my front to protec and raised the rear up

I must say my previous set up destroyed the inner edge of my front tyres in around 4k miles

as it is now doesnt seem to be scrubbing at all and on the road i cant tell any difference
but i am getting wheel vibration at 70 + on the motorway

The vibration will be down to wheel balance rather than steering geometry.

fair point .. all be it they are new front tyres and have supposedly been balanced?

I will get down to sorting it soon ..

Same as I got from TVR! IN response to the other PHer's comment about inner tyre rubbing, you probably need lock stops fitting to the steering rack - solved my problem
