Now I have a water leak

What else will I have to do to this car.

I pulled it over the pit to have a look at the set-up for adjusting the steering geometry and suddenly ..... drip.

Down on my head (perhaps I need let some hair grow).

A water leak now.

Not too bad though as it is actually out of the windscreen washer reservoir.

It seems to be coming out of the pump on it.


How does the front trim panel come out to get out the washer?

It's getting caught on the air intakes, but surely it can come out without taking them off.

Can it?

Don't wish to gloat or anything, but mines running fantastic.

For what it's worth, just to get my bit of trim off, I had to vitually strip the air intakes off completely, it got caught on everything.

If you take off the hoses from the front air box the panel should lift up at the front and come out from under the two airboxes at a 45 degree ish angle then vertical and flip it on its back to clear the bonnet.

But getting the front nearside corner of the panel past the radiator hose is an absolute PITA.

Whilst you are under there check the condition of the electrical connector that goes to the coolant temp sensor on one of the water pipes and check the power connectors to the radiators. All of them have a fairly nasty time underneath that panel and can be badly corroded.

I really am going to know my way around a Cerb before too long (I'm a long way there already).


But I have to say I do like the sound of it now with it's de-cat pipes, especially around 4000 rpm.

Ireland - The pump is just a 'push' fit into the washer bottle, it just sort of pushes in to a big hole. Theres not a lot you an do to fix it if its dripping, apert from buying a new set of the rubber washers that seal it.
Its only your washer bottle, let ir drip !!

But get some practice in removing that front panel, easy once you have done it a dew times .

The washer bottle set-up is exactly the same one as on the Elise.

I fixed it on that when I had one by what you said Alan.

It's the "getting out the bottle" I'm suffering with as I don't want to break anything.
