Where to get new/reconned engine

Hi since my warrenty company have decided not to pay for my claim im going to have to start looking for a new/reconned engine? Does anybody know where to start looking? Rough prices would help aswell

If it's a 4.2 they are becoming like hen's teeth. Cranks are no longer available and I know pistons are in short supply too.

I knwo of one person who's got so fed up that he's having a 4.5 block and 4.2 heads as it seemed the cheapest and strongest solution.

Ask around the indies, Autec/APM/TCS. When I was looking they varied from 2 - 7K generally 4K will get you a good running engine IMHE.
I think there was a 4.5 in the classifieds not long ago for 4K, don't know if its gone yet though.

Hi if its a 4.2 your after Simpson Salvage near york had an engine and gearbox for about £1500.00. That was a short while ago could be still there ?.
