Misfire Cured

Picked up a misfire under load at the recent Pod RWYB which spoilt the day somewhat - my excuse for poor times which I hadn't even bothered to post Anyways I had the airboxes off to take a look this afternoon as I hoped it might be something as simple as a loose HT lead . . . lo and behold - it was! The Magnacors were a b*stard to get seated properly when I installed them a few months back but one had worked itself loose on the n/s bank . . it came off in my hand as I checked it! Just back from a run out to check and it now pulls strongly through the rev range even under load Job done and one the easier fixes . . . this time

Perhaps this was the imfamous 'air trapped under the hermetically sealed boot' problem? Unless you get the trapped air out from under the boot, it gradually pushes the plug lead off.

your last run at the pod did sound a bit rough, still managed a 14 secs though even with a misfire.

I had that problem with mine, so replaced them with factory standard leads. No rela difference, but I was replacing things while hunting down another problem
