Excuse me for asking, but how do you know your's is a 4.5GT?
This is a new one on me, are there any markings to say it's a GT or am I missing the point?
My Early 98 4.5 has 4.5GT on the ECU Chip which is all standard and original, are they not all like this?
Sorry for the "twenty Questions" I'm just intrigued!

They weren't original like this so someone has spent a lot of money at somepoint, it would seem. Still can't see what the difference is, probably because I can't see under the bonnet!
Could the earlier ones be different just because they are earlier cars, not just because they were better/quicker?
I'm just asking the question before I get shot down in flames!

That is certainly not the only purple GT. There was one at Peninsula a couple of years back. I drove it, and it felt no different to my 4.5. In fact it had the arse driven out of it by various people (allegedly).
My 4.5 looks identical to that GT, except it's Paris Blue and mine too has 'GT' on the ECU.
I think nearly every Cerbera was probably a 'development' model and there are very few genuine limited editions. The GT's are a genuine limited run, but because of the hand built in a shed nature of these cars I reckon every single one is slightly different.
Shame the GT has to be sold, but how much of a premium would it command really?

Tyre Smoke, ours has a GT engine number and such... it also had completely different top front damper mounting points which allowed rear damper sizes to fit the front. I count this as an experimental car (its a Nov 97) - and Joolz has spent more than enough time all over our car/ knows it very well-he does not refer to this as a 4.5GT. I am yet to speak to him about the GT properly yet, but from what he was implying in the other thread, it would seem there are alot of *significant* differences on this car to warrant him referring to it as a GT.

My 4.5 was ordered as a "GT" and all its sale documents refer to it as such. When it came round to delivery, "GT" had become "4.5". It's beyond question that Jim's car is a "GT" and is different from production 4.5s.
The "GT" was supposed to be 420bhp, Joolz got mine very close to that number and after a different rear exhaust box was fitted, it exceeded it. It's not a "Red Rose" car and has never been twiddled with until Joolz got it this year.

Boss if you are saying that with a remap and a bigger back box your 4.5 is 'standard' and porduces in excess of 420bhp then............. I thought you had got to "just" 413bhp*? * a question one can only ask where the mighty AJP is concerned.
Wonder what joolz could get out of ours/ wonder what he has got out of ours?
Doubt it'l come close to that though, it was only ever "average" to start with (it was one of the first 4.5's to hit the rollers... it hasnt been on them in atleast 30k miles.) Boss, what was the build date of your Cerb out of interest?
