Recomended Engine Oils

Just found an Interesting thread on the TVR General Gassing forum, all about oil from a guy who seems to know his stuff,

But to save you all trawling through it looking for 'Cerbera' here is his reply amd recomendations.

Driving style: About as different as they get. Tootling about with wife and kids aboard, and Trackdays. On trackdays I do about 20-30 mins max, and then give the car a good rest. I drive hardish but avoid the red line - it is my P&J after all

For the AJP V8 we recomend a good 5w-40 full synthetic for all year round use, go for an ester based one such as Silkolene and Motul and they are good for track work to.

Anyway, mine has Mobile 1 10-40. If I want to switch oil do I need to drain all the old stuff out first?
