Aircon ?

Finally picked up the cerbera yesterday !! Wow. Its a different league to the old Chimaera we had before.

One question though - how can I tell if its got AC ? I have the button and the light comes on, not sure if anything happens. The dealer seemed to think it didnt have it - but i havent investigated further.

Its an 02 red rose so kinda hoped it would have come with it - although it does seem as though it was an option when new.

If it has AC they're will be a compressor right at the front of the engine in the V between the heads. It'll have a grooved belt going round it too.

And if it doesnt have aircon then I think it wont have two fans on the radiator.
Get yourself some deoderant for summer.

The thing in front at the middle of the engine of the car in this ad is the air-con compressor

If you have one, you have air con fitted.

Had a quick look - i dont have the pump by the looks, so no AC.

I dont mind that much - it was the right car - i'll just have to put up with it in the summer !

I dont suppose you can retrofit AC to one ? Anyone done it ? What would I be missing...

I believe retro fitting is a pain, and mine wasn't working when I got it so in summer you just have the windows open and wear light tops in traffic - no problem. I got mine regassed in the end.

Unless tripps sold his to David Gerald TVR i dont think it is.

As for the evo - completely different car, dont get me wrong the evo was a good car, but too little driver involvement for me. It worked as daily driver, quick a - b but no fun really.

It takes all my attention to just drive the Cerb, i havent even contemplated putting my foot down yet

Didnt seem to bother wife too much - she collected it, three hour drive later it was safely home ( although I dont remember it taking that long when we went to see it). . .

sounds like my old car,i hope you enjoy the car half as much as i did,the last thing you need to do is worry about aircon,just de cat her,sports pipes & take her for a spin around europe,the faster you go the better the open window works!!
