austec software upgrade chip

Hi hope someone can help, my cerbs be running a bit rough and had MIL light flashing alot, and looking through the invoice history
noticed it had a austec software upgrade chip 18 months ago, ran the ecu software everything seems ok including labda censor the only thing
thats out is the adaptive 1 & 2, at idle 1 is -4 and 2 is 20 as throtle applied they come into line more - is this normal. If not can
I still reset the adaptive from the software or will this mess up the austec remap, any help welcomed as MIL light driving me nuts.

No the map will be hard coded to the eprom.

Reseting the adaptive can be done but it may not fix the issue. Sounds lie you have throttle imbalance, check the link rod for play and the throttle pots for irratic values.

Hi !

Have You checked that the throttle pots are giving the same value (+- 2%) from idle to fully open. Throttle pots that are on its way to be worn out could cause this problem.

You have a standard MBE ECU in your car with an altered map, because the ECU is standard you can take it to any TVR specialist or dealer to diagnose and fix.
