Fuel rail Question

Will fuel come out under pressure when i pull the fuel rail from the injectors? or from the fuel/pressure/vacuum/regulator near the bulkhead end of the rail?

It will remain pressurised to a certain degree yes.

If you leave it overnight then it should loose a fair bit of the pressure but still be prepared for leakage.

Sure theres another quick way to releive the pressure. Saw Jools do it, but cant remember what. Sorry.


Unless it was pressing/doing something with the fuel cut off in the boot.

If its the p/regulator to rail yes-will have upto 4ish bar depending how long its been sat.If you pull a vacuum on regulator the pressure will vanish,or pull the fuel pump fuse and start the engine and let it die/cut out,Otherwise,with a few rags around pipe at the other end of the rail slacken the pipe there-make sure the ignition is off or the fuse is pulled for the pump or there willl be a mess.
If its the pipe from the reg which goes down and away(held on by jub.clip)then there is a barely any pressure,but you will have some spillage.
