Cerby is having to go!!

Hiya everyone,
I am really gutted because I have had to put my beloved "Cerby" up for sale!
It is because of a change in my role at work, I am now required to cover the whole of the UK (not just the S.East), so my annual business mileage has gone up by nearly 200%!!
Annoying when I have only recently had the Induction kit and De-cat pipes fitted (which I adore), and have only just got the car exactly the way I want it!
I am going to miss the whole TVR experience, and I really hope that I can get another one as and when funds will allow a third car for us! The problem then will be finding one that compares with this!
Just wonder if we can still turn up to the Middlesex and Mid Essex meets every now and again?? As we will really miss all the great people there!

Don,t be too rash, think about it, it may actualy work out less expensive to have three cars instead of two especially if you do high miles now. Appart from insurance costs think of all the money you will save on petrol and the other cerbera running costs that would now be spread over a longer period, to say nothing of the losses in residual value and performance tweeks that you have done. Then there is the emotional side of things that you can,t put a price on, not you personaly but your family,could they cope with your mood swings and reduced will to live! Come on think about it be happy, keep it, work harder and have two cars just for you!

I know what you guys are going through....looks mine will be advertised at some point too!...as i said in a recent post, my much loved car will also be hitting the advertising ranks, but i will not be letting her go cheaply...spent too much on all the right mods for that...but due to some 'very hard to deal with' personal up-heaveals, the car will at some point have to be sold....
I can't believe so many people have responded to my post!
I really have tried to consider all the options, and the biggest problem we have (other than the costs) is that we do not have anywhere to keep a 3rd car! We need the estate for the dogs and it is not fair that I have put so many miles on it when it is not even mine!!

The Cerbera was my everyday car, (most people said I was mad but the car itself has been excellent!!)but I am going to be doing enough miles that it would almost make sense to have another company car! (even with the tax implications).
As you will probably imagine I am feeling rather low at present, but I will be there for "London Thunder" to show my support, and will try to forget about all of this hassle for the day!!
Thanks again to all fellow TVR devotees who have replied, this is exactly what makes them such an amazing car to own and enjoy!!

I really have tried to consider all the options, and the biggest problem we have (other than the costs) is that we do not have anywhere to keep a 3rd car! We need the estate for the dogs and it is not fair that I have put so many miles on it when it is not even mine!!

Any garage space to rent locally? What about one of the neighbours, got an old couple who don't use their garage? There's always space to park an older car on the road somewhere - even if it's not directly outside your house.
I've got a motorbike for daily commute, a primera family car, an mx-5 for the wife and a Cerbera for me. With my son's Focus juggling them around is sometimes fun
Luckily we live at the end of a close.
The money you'll lose on the cerbera, plus the possible cost of getting another to the same spec, means it surely makes financial sense as well to get a cheap run around.
