One less cerb out there :(

As you guessed our cerb is no more, car had been goin ok all day, nearly home my dad and friend Ian were involved in an extremely big crash!, basically hit a very wet patch, hit a tree, spun it 2-3 times and ended up in a ditch,

Dad and Ian are coping well, they have been discharged from hospital and are both back home!
Dad has back poblems (not sure wether major at this time, to short to notice) and Ian escaped with minor (not sure) hip damage

Damn! That's gotta hurt. Thank god you and your fellas are Ok. Just lookin' at these kind of pictures makes me be even more carefully in my job . Talking about wrecked cars/dreams like Cerbra, is there any place in england that one TVR fanatic from finland could get one project or whole car in a neat price? I'm just asking, because this fascination to Cerbera have been burning my veins about six years now and i'm going to come by some day to get it. Maybe not tomorrow, not even in next week but some day .

Very, very fortunate there were no fatalities - wet road, trees and high speed cars are a lethal combination - when you get the sort of rain the London Thunder run experienced yesterday all the 'ground in' rubber, oil, road salt and diesel come up to the surface - roundabouts by their nature are particularly prone to this e.g. cars/lorries braking and making sharp turns, etc.

Was there any High Friction surfacing on the roundabout approaches? Most roundabouts on main routes have it now.

Very glad everyone's okay but very sad about the Cerbera.

Been on this forum a couple of seasons now, and winter seems to be the time we lose a load of Cerbs to the weather conditions. Happened last year and the year before.

I don't think it matters that the cerb has a high performance engine. Its only if you use that performance that the problems begin. Far more of a problem that the car is very light and large profile tyres.

Maybe its worth running with some narrow gauge tyres?
