Why the Cebera speed12 and not the original??

Why did TVR continue with the Cerbera speed12 but bin the original.As much as i love the Cerb for me the original speed 12 was the best and most evil looking TVR ever made.I know the story about why they didnt release it on the general public,but surely they could have continued racing with it.I still from time to time watch the piece i have that Clarkson did on it to remind me how awsome it was.

The regulations were changed for the series it was going to compete in so it wouldn't have been competitive hence stillborn
