Numpy Questions Alert - Screenwash

So there I am; low on screenwash, so I pull into a garage to top the old girl's fluids up. After a quick flick through the owner's handbook to locate the screewash reservoir in order to 'do the needful' I casually lift the bonnet... and it ain't where the handbook says it is... D'oh!

Sheepishly put the bonnet down and drive off.

So - is this (1) the screenwash reservoir on a 4.5? Also, what's (2), and where does coolant go???

Hi - I assume you have a late model?
The number 1 = screen wash.
No idea what 2 is !

Hi - yes - it's a 2003.

Many thanks - I had assumed (1) was correct - I didn't want to risk pouring water in without checking!

The coolant / water goes in the expansion tank (between battery and windscreen)

Well from that foto that is nothing like mine !! Mine is a '99 4.5 and the screenwash filler is right at the front of the car, dead in the center if the big front plastic chassis cover cowling 'thingy'. It has a small clear plastic filler cap. My old 4.2 was also in the same place.

Added PS: I'm being a numpty now - I just re-read it and yours is a later model

1 is indeed your screenwash on the later larger panel.
2 is the bleed screw at the top of your radiator.
