Snow driving a Cerbie

Excellent photo on the cover of Sprint this month but I was just thinking of driving over to the UK for New Year and thought - could this be done in the Cerb ?
Does anyone out there have any experience of distance in the snow ?
It'd cost 450 quid for a complete set of snow tyres, which I know would be the safe option, but that's an awful lot of safe for six weeks of the year - apart from getting the wheels off and into mad Norbert's alloy-scratching hands !
Only driven her once in any kind of snow and anything even remotely uphill had the rear end 45 degrees in the gutter - on a straight road !!

My old cerb was driven to a ski resort in the snow (madness).
There is a pic of a cerb with ski on the boot - think it was William Ball in Scotland.
I drove my old cerb up a VERY steep hill on icey snow. I did it better than the elise and BMWs ie just floor the car and drive sideways!

Not a Cerb, but a couple of times I got caught out half way through a journey in my old Chimaera when it snowed. I managed a 45 degree sideways slide about 3/4 of a mile long at 2 mph which was fun. However, driving over the new forest dual carriageway trying to keep a steady 30-40 mph uphill - I didn't want to loose momentum & get stranded or give it much gas as the back would go very light - was extremely hairy!! getting past slow lorries meant crossing the build-up of snow between lanes and this was very unsettling. i mean it must've looked cool to the people behind me - like a rally car drifting - but it was the most white knuckled drive of my life. Did wonders for my car control though!
If Cerb snow driving is anything like that, I wouldn't recommend it.
BTW, we don't get a lot of snow in the UK (in the south at any rate)

I shudder to think what a cerb in the snow would be like 
. Years ago I took my old C180 mercedes with only 117hp (!!!!) in the snow to the highlands and had some very hairy moments crossing the snow between the tracks on the dual carrageway 
OK so I was driving like a bit of an arse but there you go...
After seeing the number of crashed ones over the past few weeks in relatively benign conditions, snow driving must be a real brown trouser affair... Hats off to you if you are brave (good?) enough to do it though

As a Cerb has a large footprint, low weight and high torque it does make for a more "challenging" journey in snow but it's by no means impossible. I've taken the cerb over the Swiss and French alps in Winter, driven through blizzards and ice and once you set your mind to breathing on the throttle (curl your toes, don't move your ankle), high gear asap, small inputs to steering and 1000% more distance awareness it's quite amazing how balanced and (relatively) easy to drive the cerb is under those conditions.
