clutch master cylinder

Hello all,

How much to replace the clutch master cylinder, parts and labour?

Any info appreciated...

What is the master from?

Its from a (Sshhhh whisper) "a Ford Fiesta XR2 or 1.6i Ghia" - there were 2 two types, you want the one with the larger 22mm bore.
Ford will charge you about £100 notes, so you may as well just let your favourite Indie do it, he'll charge you less than that.

Got the pukka one from TVR POWER-£70-fitted it myself-2 hours-piece of piss except for bottom bolt! You need a mate tho-its a two man job!

Thats the brake master cylinder, not the clutch.

The Clutch master is from a TR7, with a 0.7 bore. £120-150 all in sounds right, although you could do it for a lot less yourself.

Replaced mine with a wilwood one from Rally design cost about 36 quid,
Only difficulty is the port on it was too small ( 7/16 as opposed to 9/16 UNF) so I had to make an adaptor up (Goodrige) It does however have 2 seals on the piston as opposed to the one on the rover/ triumph type
