Car back !! Yipeee

Got my car back from APM after a rebuild. Just about a new engine now at standard 4.5 spec.
Fantastic (but boring run her in time).
Shame I had to drive her home in freezing fog.

Good news.

At least in this weather you will be slowly running it in without being allowed the chance to put your foot down prematurely (which alot of people do after a rebuild).

It'll soon be spring and then hopefully it'll be ran-in nicely by then.

he's been in the tvr engine building game a long time, pretty much the first indie ever to offer an alternative to factory rebuilds, i'm surprised he hasnt spoken of any major upgrades for his customers? or have I missed something.... hmmm

I think Andy works mainly on the fact that a well built standard engine is plenty fast enough, can't fault the logic .

If you twist his arm I am sure he will do more. But I am unable to exploit the full power and ability of current car let alone a tuned up one! I have come to terms with the size of my gentials. ;-)

Out of interest, what did your chassis look like without the engine in place? any worrying bits of corrosion? - trying to guage whether TVR really did make a switch to better protecting stuff in 99!

The chassis is ok. The bit by the exhaust manifold on the passenger side is flaky and was given smoe treatment BUT it will probably just burn off again I guess?
