spare pipe flapping around under the bonnet???

Hi - opened the bonnet to check oil etc... and found this "spare pipe" flapping around - anyone know where it is meant to go?

Looks like someone has botched a fix in the past.

I think it's a breather, and should feed back into the RHS airbox, have a look under the front of the airbox and see if there's a bit broken off.

Tim - you are spot on by the way - found the offending "hole" on the RHS air intake box - and someone has had a stab at gluing in the past - Any ideas of the car is ok to drive with the pipe secured but not attatched as was gonna go out in it tonight?
