battery flat, how do I get into the car?

Hi all. I'm sure its not unheard of.... any ideas how to get into the dam thing when the batt is flat? There's a trickle charger in the boot so basically just need to get to that.

I've owned her for less than a year and is due for a service soon so unfortunately I don't yet have a service contact. Does anyone know an off-line contact? I don't mind proving my ownership

Bracknell, Viking (road), I have an old VW Golf to get about if need be.

The battery is flat due to me not closing the door properly and I didn't notice the cabin light come on... that was xmas eve. The window is cracked open - as didn't close but not enough to reach the bonnet latch or red door lever, unless I make something to poke down there to reach it. The alarm/imob still seems to switch on/off with the keyfob so its not totally dead.

Have you got the workshop manual CD? It shows you the secret way in there. We've just agreed not to discuss this on this forum for obvious security reasons.

Help would be great though I'd rather aquire the information in person. Thankfully its not urgent. Off to Scotland tomorrow morning and back on the weekend so will have a look then. I've thought of a way to do it - taking advantage of the opening in the window so will give it a go tonight and let you know.

With any luck Halfords will give a free replacement battery ;-)
