Accumate Battery Conditioner
Discussion
Simply fit a cigarette lighter plug to one of the leads suppled in the box (I used the one that finishes with two "O" rings) and plug it in. Alternatively buy a fly lead from Accumate that is terminated with a cigarette lighter plug. Why bother fitting the whole charger to the car?

Smols proof simple instructions........
Open box
Look at it
Scan instructions
Pick up phone
Call Rick
Switch on kettle
Realisticly what you need to do is get the lead in the box that has 2 eyelets on it, cut these off and refit 2 that are big enough to fit on the battery terminal bolts.
Fit that bit to the battery and route the connection end somewhere so you can see it with the bonnet up but it's not sitting next to anything hot
Pop the Accumate on a shelve somewhere near the car and near a plug socket, plug it all in and Roberts your mothers brother your car will have a healthy battery for that day about March time when you venture out again (not that I can talk but I've got a good excuse
)
I know the fag lighter option seems a lot simpler and straightforward but I just have very little faith it in working everytime or consistantly, and I've heard too many stories of the thing disappearing into the door when a little pressure is applied down onto it and thats a whole load of pain you don't want to get into.

Works every time for me via the cigar lighter - but...

... it has done this for me the bastid.
Had the lighter replaced with a design that can't fall through the door.

Yeah, I've heard those stories too but i) I'm not ham-fisted and ii) when it happens I can always do it the laborious way. Meantime it's a case of drive car into garage, plug in cigarette lighter plug, shut garage door and walk away - well take one last look at Griffith and then walk away!
I have mine on top of the fuel tank near to the light boxes and fuse box, the tracker and the ICE cut off are there too. The charger has a normal house plug coming off that I can put straight into the mains via the boot. All quite neat.
I didn't do this though, I presume some wire lengthery has been added by someone more used to crimping than I.

Get a longer lead and a metal wall bracket so every time you park the Cerbera in the garage just ...
ring Rick as your driving in,
he will come out and plug it into your cigar lighter. ..or if you have a few hours ring Raceboy and he will hop foot it over to help..
Seriously though if your keeping a TVR it probably is better to fit the socket as a back up.
The Cerbera's lighter unit has a nasty habit of unscrewing itself and falling apart inside and dash - the Chimaera/Griffith do the same.
Believe me there is nothing worse than actually going through the trouble of getting Rick down to plug it in and several days/weeks later finding it is keeping nothing charged as the bottom of the cigar unit has fallen apart

Wot I did was to take a lead from the rear fusebox, under the carpet and throught the inline fuse they give you.
You can carefully feed the lead though the light system behind the numberplate.
Then simply cut a neat round hole in the numberplate, and put a cig lighter socket with a sealing rubber cap (maplins CPC)
Meaning no windows open, no need to reach anywhere dirty with your work clothes on,
Each night simply remove flip cap and plug in. To all your neighbours you'll have as much street cred as the local pruris owner.

I originally bought an external cig lighter socket to mount in the plate but it was too large so bought the bits from RSWWW in the end.
