. I think its about £170 to exchange a scruffy set for refurbished and painted ones. not a bad idea that.here`s the link to them.http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dl did i get a bargain or shall i keep of ebay after drinking wine?

I think you did ok but much more might have been pushing it. If you use Pxwheels then approx £500 all in and then what £450-£500 on tyres. I have seen sets go for £800 inc tyres that looked good but equally have seen sets go for £1000 with tyres on so you are, as I say, about on target (assuming they are not buckled).
Tyres sizes with spiders are usually recommended as 225/35/18 for the the fronts and 255/35/18 for the rears. Also be aware that officially you are better off with 4 x Tuscan fronts for the Cerb rather than front and rear, you might get scrubbing on the back as the rears will sit out a bit further than is ideal. I have them on mine and is fine day to day, some cars worse than other though as being Tvr's everycar is slightly different. Oh and you will need to fit some stop locks to restrict the turning circle or else they rub on the wishbones when you turn full. All the price we pay for vanity

Hold on to your 16's, there is little or no market for them and prices usually too cheap for what are actually great wheels. Use em as a backup or for track days etc.
