Any tips for aligning headlights?

This has got to be a joke. You have to take the wheels off to remove the panel to get at the headlight adjusting screws - but with the wheels off how can you adjust the lights properly?

I'd really appreciate any tips from those of you that have tackled this!

I'd say measure the height of the lights, jack up pop wheels off and lower again to correct height.

I can get to mine with the wheels on - put them on full lock.

Tried that, I'd never get my hand in there with the wheels on. Especially to get at the adjusters for the top dip lights.

Ah well, just another one of those awkward things I guess!

The four wheels will need to be romoved and all corners supported as, when you jack the car to remove the front wheels, the back of the car is higher when you lower the jack.

I'm thinking 4 blocks of wood to support the chassis with all wheels off.

Probably doesn't help, but before I've done any work on my lights, I jack the car up facing a wall, and then put the lights on. I then use tape to mark with a cross the center of the beam pattern, so that I can replace things pointing back in the same place.
