Oilly mess - help!

Wonder if any one can help.

When you take off the fibre glass cover next to the windscreen in the engine bay (held on by 2 allen key bolts), there is a knuckle joint running to an oil pipe on the passenger side.

The threads on mine appear to be knackered and it is geysering out oil when the engine is running. Any ideas as to what this part is and where I can get one?

erm, clutch fluid maybe?? but the nuckle (nipple) on mine was by the drivers side so maybe not. See if the master cylinder is low on fluid.

Thanks guys, I will try. For the avoidance of doubt, it is an oil pipe and not the clutch bleed nipple. It appears from the bulkhead next to where the clutch fluid reservoir is hidden.

Mite be wrong, but is it the 'breather' pipe (or whatever it is) that goes into the back/bottom of the airbox?

Anyone any idea where I can get one of the joints? It has been masticked in on mine as this has obviously been a problem in the past.

Not much help, but there is a place in Thurrock that makes up all kinds of pipes and connectors. They repaired my oil cooler pipe, BUT I cant remember their name.
I'll try and dig out the receipt if your interested.

that braided pipe is feeding you oil pressure gauge . not worked on cerbs for a bit but if its 20" long ive got one in my toolbox

Cheers re-work, but its the joint going into the bulkhead, rather than the pipe itself which is knackered.

I may pop along to a B&Q or something and see if I can get hold of one.

you sure . its a solid conector theres another pipe conected inside to the gauge . its an odd thread size to bsf or whitworth fine . the silicone is to stop water leaking into the footwell
