Are these exhaust pipes from a UK supplier?

Just been sent a pic from the local TVR dealer who says he now stocks these new sports exhausts. He claims HP+ but not sure how much...are these familiar to anyone?

Kinda sucks as I just spent GBP900 on new system and these are going for a lot less.

Looks like the SP exhaust system - theres another thread on here about them +37Hp is claimed.

Looks to me like there is a bit of a step down in diameter there - there appears to be the original exhaust, then a sleeve, then the new exhaust. Not the best start for any potential power increase I wouldn't have thought.

the better systems used to just be a pair of pipes with no back box.

i cannot believe that system would provide any performance improvements as it does look like the diameters are sleeved down - plus its probably going to overheat the boot

I agree, they look like they are of a smaller diameter than the norm and are of an inferior design and build. I wouldn't worry too much that you have missed out on these pipes.

Are there no manufacturers out there who could build one to your own spec? May work out a lot cheaper and you end up getting what you want.

Yeah, you have to stare at a fixed point for a few minutes before you start to make out the numbers too!

That's exactly what I did. i will post some pics when I get a chance - a very good local shop made me a quality bespoke system and it looks great. every thing is straight and shiny with quality materials. but cost me a bloody fortune. i actually don't like the look of these ones above too much. I got some nice 3inch pipes and it sounds brilliant.

Actually this is my rear end before the plate went on. Don't know who's car that is above? A 4,2 in Tokyo I think. I didn't think they were any dfferent to the ones in the UK?

Or, from my experience this week, possibly melt a seal of some description in the rear light assembly

I don't know exactly what's happened but it is as a result of a build-up of heat off the exhaust.

I'll investigate later and post separately when I know what happened.

It's just worth keeping it in mind as the boxes on the exhaust in the picture don't seem too far from the bottom of the tank.

Yeah, I just had the light out and think it may have been a crap sealer that melted with the heat of the bulb.
