The windows on mine are steaming up really badly, its like I have a re-circ button switched on (yes I know there isnt one) Is this normal?
Can someone tell me where the fresh air is sucked nto the heater, so I can check if its blocked, I suppose that could be causing it.
By the way, the car isnt damp and has no leaks.

There will be water collecting somewhere by the sounds of it.

Mine does this, was fine until I had a leak.....
Is it misting up as you drive or really misted up when you get back to it?
If the latter, it's probably just the weather. You've been out in the car, it gets warm and the air holds the moisture more. Our MX-5 is terrible for it. I always open the windows for the last 30-60 secs of the journey to clear out the moisture ridden air.
If it's as you drive it, is there someway for the heater unit to get a little water in and it's coming out with the hot air?
Could it be road/traffic film on the inside of the windows? Tried cleaning them with some lemon/vinegar based cleaner? You could try some antifog for crash helmets like Bob Heath.

The car mists up as I am driving, so all I can think is that the heater is drawing air in from inside the car, and not fresh air from the outside. Does anyone know where the heater fresh air inlet is? I can then check it out.

I found that once I'd started driving with the window down in the rain (gotta love that exhaust noise
) some dampness did get into the car (not into the carpets as they're dry!) and I've had some degree of misting ever since. It also makes me wonder if any water collected in the doors would affect the issue too?

the early solenoid system fitted and the chances are that the solenoid operated flap has
stuck …look up into the upper area of the drivers footwell and you'll see a 4 inch diameter black trunking with an alloy chamber attached ... remove that chamber and free off the flap inside .. a spray of grease will help it along.
If you hear a "tinkle" when you operate the fans then you have an interim
version of the system with alloy flaps in the centre console, one of which may be stuck closed or open …look again up into the upper footwell and trace the 4 inch trunking all the way to the centre console .. this is the mixing chamber for the two systems .. remove the trunking and you'll see an aloy housing and swinging plate inside .. remove the self-
tappers and remove the housing to free the swinging plate - note there's one on the drivers
side and another on the passengers side so check both.
If you don't have either of those systems then you have the latest "cows udder" system .. look up into the footwell (again !!) and you'll see a black fibreglass "udder" with 3 pipes coming off it .. if you have this system and you're not getting air out then there's a blockage of some description 'cos there's nothing inside the system to prevent airflow .. remove each pipe in turn to check for blockage eg with dry dead leaves or small furry creatures
Also, if you're just yourself in the car, make sure all the vents on the passenger side are closed as the heating [?!?!] system is biased with hot air to the passenger side - with the coldest air finding its way to the drivers feet. This can be addressed with bits of bent metal/bits of bean-cans. Mine now allows cold air to drivers face and hot air to footwell. Woopdeedoo!

The blower systems take air in from both sides of the car. The hot air is fed in through the passenger side, and the cold air through the drivers side.
They take their air from the hole beneath the indicator which is fed through the wings to the fans and heating systems.
I would guess that you have a leak in the heater rad, which, as it heats up and with the fan on it blows the moisture into the cabin and misting up the windows.
Keep a check on the coolant levels, although if its only a small leak you may not notice much drop in coolant.
