How do you spot a Hydratrack Diff cerb?

This is something i never thought about when i bought my cerb 4.5. Wasnt planning to do any trackdays in it, but now i have the car i am tempted.

Does the casing look any different to a non locking diff?

They never sold a Cerbera (or any other modern TVR) without a locking diff... hydratrak is just a different type of LSD, whether you have hydra or the standard friction diff - you'll have a laugh on track. Enjoy.

I thought that all 4.5s had the hydratrack diff and it became an option on later 4.2s?

This was certainly the case in '99 when I bought mine.

My 96 4.2 has Hydratrak. It was an option (£300 plus vat)

I don't know what the standard one's like, but the back end of my car gives you a sort of "dogs wagging tail" when you provoke it.

Unless you come of the revs completely during mid "wag"... in which case it throws you off the road Once is enough
