Blue or Yellow software

Have the software with the Blue Cerb in the back ground and it wont connect to the ECU.

I hear there is a version with a Yellow ceb in the background, does anyone have a copy they can send me?

want to clear a EFI fault from a flat battery, not too keen on taking a day off work to travel to the dealers!

Mines the Blue one so I'm afraid I can't help.

Your profile says you have a Tuscan - If you want the software for that I'm not sure if the AJP V8 software works with the S6, that might be your problem.

Since we're on the subject of software Alan - I can't get the lead you left in working with either of my Dell laptops. I've pulled it out tonight and mapped it out and it's a straight through lead - i.e. 2-2 3-3 and 1-1 not 1-5 as per the MBE diagram.

Did you have this working OK with your laptop? Searching past threads seems to reveal sometimes this type of lead works.

I'm going to make up one at work tomorrow and take the car in to try it I think.

The cerb software does work with the S6, it contains config file for the V8 and S6, BUT the S6 has gone through several revisions, so if you are lucky and have an early S6 then it will work if you are getting an error message saying "Some file is missing" then you have to rename the S6 config file to whatever the missing filename is! This does work to some extent, you cant read fault codes etc but i believe you can see the adaptive maps. Peppe is the man to speak to on this subject. If anyone out there has other software then can i have a copy please?

Dave - Yes, that was the lead that I used, and it worked fine on my Compaq. I have v1.01 (The Blue Cerb one). I havent used it on the new Car yet, and was planning on using an ordinary serial lead from PC world, so I'll let you know if it works.
Yeah the Mod is fantastic isnt it, always meant to get round to soing it properly but never did Wifey couldnt figure out why her hair Dryer nozzle suddenly dissapeared!!

PC Clever Trevor do a lead that has 2 connectors for ECU's with the Serial Pin connection, and the later 3 pin 'fly lead' ones (about £40 ish !!)

as stated the soft ware will work on spd 6s, just not worked out how on mine yet, posted here because more people use the software on cerbs, its relativly new to the tuscan community.

I wanted the cable to be permanatly connected to the ECU to save me having to tear the carpet out and undo the ECU Box whenever I needed to connect the ECU. I had to chop a hole in the lid of the ECU to fit the lead through, the plug/connector protruded through the ECU casing lid, and the the only thing I had to hand to prevent it from chafing was the plastic nozzle from wifey's hair drier! I was going to get a freind to Alloy weld a proper cover, but forgot all about it.

You do know that the Blue software is only for the faster Blue cars, and the yellow for all the other also rans

Hum made my own lead as per the MBE cable diagram but it's still not working.

Do you have to set up the com port for any particular settings. Is there any order to powering on the car, starting the software. Does the software fire up immediately or take time?
