I can get a road bike in OK. 55cm frame with the seatpin/saddle taken off. Once you've perfected the art you can get the whole thing (i.e. inc both wheels) in the boot.

With a mountain bike the whole process should be easier as the bars are less awkward, the wheels are smaller and you probably don't need to remember a 5mm allen key for the seatpin if it's got a Q/R.

In short: Go on - your know it makes sense! yes

The only problem is would you really want to put a muddy mountain bike (and possibly yourself) in a Cerbera?

I could fit my mtb (marin rock springs) in my Chimaera boot. Cerb is a little smaller I think but I reckon you could still do it. I'll try & then report back if I remember

You can get a fair bit in a Cerb boot. I have had a big storage crate along with 2 dive tanks & associated suits etc. Also, I can fit in..... www.youtube.com/watch?v=LjoAop15gO0

I reckon I'd get an orange in my boot too. Possily a couple, and an apple, banana etc...

There's no way I'd get a whole Cerb in there though.

Just tried. I have a 19.5 incher. ;-)
Removed wheels and seat post.
It is a little tricky to angle in without scratching the car. You need to have the rear of the bike pushed in to the space on the near side. BUT I couldnt get it in properly as the handle bars were too high. The only option would be to remove the forks/suspension. I couldnt be bothered to try that (partly as I have never taken forks off before).

sorry for pulling up an old thread, but I'm v chuft as I managed to fit my mountain bike in the boot at the weekend smile

had to remove both wheels, the saddle and the handlebars, but it went in fine then (ok, so the front wheel had to go on the back seat). I don't have to take the boring car on bike trips anymore! thumbup

I must have missed this thread first time around...Doesn't look like the OP bought one.

But can you imagine him walking in to the dealers.....

"I'm intersted in buying one of these here Cerberas.....Can I get a mountain bike in the boot ?"

"ah yes sir, you want the Cerbera 2.5 ltr Diesel Estate."

I can get a push chair in mine. It's surprising how much space an aftermarket ICE takes up though.

i get my mountain bike inside the cabin-with both wheels taken off. Thats how I get back from the garage when I have dropped it off - it is 30 miles though!
