AIR INTAKE

I bought some spray cleaning stuff today, as I thought it looked quite good as I was browsing the local motor factor's. It says that it cleans out air ways, fuel injectors, exhaust valves etc.

However, after getting it home and throwing all packaging away, I read that I have to spray the stuff into the 'air inlet system' after removing the air filter of course.

Any suggestions, as I'd like to give it a go to see if it's any good...

Surely I don't stand there spraying the stuff in through the nose of the car?

I used to have this when I wanted to start the spitfire. Its called alcohol. Does a bloody good job of kicking the engine into life when squired into the intake of a carb. I think though its claimed ability is stretched further than Mr Fantastic

Yep, have heard of stuff that you just spray in the intake. If' I were you I'd either remove the puprple hoses and spray directly in each port or straight into the airboxes.

Can't really see that it will do a great deal. It's not going to clean the important parts of the injectors (nozzles) anyway. Might loosen some much of the backs of your vavles though.

On that subject, I bought my wife an ultrasonic cleaner for her jewelry.

I just wonder if an injector in it with a solution of injector cleaner would work rather than having to pump something through the injector.

I used this stuff on my renault 5 years ago, you then had to drive the car, i managed to fill the whole road with white smoke, was quality

i wouldn't do it to my cerb though...
