Anyone local to Watford with Diagnostic software

Is there anyone local who could plug in there laptop to check settings, as i've got a sort of missfire and burning cat.

Have you got a laptop and cable yourself? The software is on my profile, and any straight through serial lead will fit (if you have the earlier ecu)

Perhaps it's worth just picking up a cheap laptop? I'm using an old cheap Dell Latitude 600 similar to
