Thunderball Piccie nicked from another forum. The cerb in the middle caught my eye with the scoop in the bonnet. I guess must be someone on here. What's underneath? And where do you guys go to get one off grp bits done?

It looks like an exit for the (hot) airstream after passing through the rad, rather than it going over the engine and out through the vents at the bottom of the screen (outside, of course) or underneath.

I believe its designed to let air escape from under the bonnet. Preventing front end lift at high speeds.

Interesting, as normally there's another panel just below there which obscures the view of the ground (and hence much of the airflow), so I'd wonder how much aero effect it was having. But then again, I'm no aero engineer!

Not my cup of tea. I think it spoils the smooth lines the designers tried so hard to get.
