HI chaps

After my oil cooler burst I was thinking, do I really need a 16 row? Is it overkill? I don't intend to do any track days. Maybe once a year.

I thought a smaller one would fit neatly under the F1 panel.

What's the thinking?

Cheers

What would be the benefit of not putting the same type back on (is this the cerb original?) weight cost? Is it worth it?

216mm 19 row 5/8 BSP male fittings.

Was the one that came off mine and I replaced it with the same. In all honesty I think a modine oil to water cooler would be better for these, faster heat up, more stable oil temp and eaasier to fit.

Only time it may struggle is at high engine speeds and loads.

Smaller ones are cheaper and might fit under the F1 panel better.

I'm not going to worry about it for a while anyhow as its too cold to need one at the moment.

If anone has an old cooler and a set of pipes and wants to send them my way, I'll 'knock up' a set of hoses for you FOC. I've been meening to do my oil lines for ages, just can't be arsed taking them all off. I did my power steering ones a while back and replaced them with stainless steel ends and stainless overbraiding. Also did the clutch ones and extended the bleed hose to make it more accessible.

Re the cooler, if i get a sample I'll match it up with either a Goodridge Setrab or something similar at a fraction of the main stealer price.

Hi Cooky,
Is this offer still valid? (No harm trying)as I need to replace my oil cooler. Also replacing water coolant pipes and am considering the coloured ACT ones. Any advice would be appreciated.
