I personally like the ZX14... but the R1 specs are impressive...
0-60 in around 3 secs (though I hear 2.5 claimed a lot)
0-125mph in 8.3 secs
1/4 mile drag in the 10 second bracket and terminals exceeding 130mph...
Just gives you an idea....

Don't forget that the Veyron accelerates first though, which even given very quick reactions would mean that the bike is at a 0.25sec disadvantage - more like 0.35sec for the average person. You'd also have to assume that the rider is flat down in racing position for max acceleration / performance, which he CANNOT be due to the camera being fuel tank mounted and hence the cam and rider are buggering up the aerodynamics.

Valid points, but still, thats a good 10-15 car lengths and more....
and the way those supers grip the tarmac round those bends and out, impressive... but then the rider of the bike wasnt exactly giving it large....
I guess the point is just getting a visual into the brute-performance of these multi$$$ supers.... bloody impressive...

Impressive it is but really, isn't such a car just a sign thats says "HEY GIRLS, I'M FILTHY RICH". You'll never use that performance in the real world (I'll retract that statement when one pulls up alongside me at the lights).
IMHO the Veyron is incredibly ugly and... where is the soul? If I had the had the cash to afford a Veyron...... I'd keep my Cerb and take an 18 month round the world holiday.
And besides.... the Ferrari F430 is quicker than a 4.2 Cerb *on paper* - Tell that to the bloke that had a look of thunder and death on his face when I pulled away from his '430 on the M25.

F430's are gorgeous and very capable... we posted identical times to one at the Speed Trials, though the F430 had the higher terminal. That said, we were on shot cats at the time, but I still rate the F430 extremely highly. Made easy work of the times set by 360's (typically half a second slower than the cerb and a few mph down in terminal speed.)

Point proven - Ferraris are expensive cock extensions. Cerb is king forever IMO
One thing I have found, and it may just be my crap driving, but was 'playing' with a Murcielago the other day, and on the motroway was with him all the way from 70km/h - 170km/h and all sorts of stupid stuff inbetween that just made my trip to the airport so much more enjoyable...UNTIL...we slowed down for a sharp U-turn type exit and from 1st-2nd gear I was nothing a dribbling, smoking, tail sliding mess of wheelspin and red face. He got a 100m head start purely because he got the rear end traction.
It's not always about pure grunt on paper or straight lines or rolling or whatever, sometimes it's just 'Who's got more electronic driver aids' that wins the battle. TVR's could do with adding a little assisatance for people like me. At least as an option so you purist out there don't get all defensive.

Tokyokev .. i know what you mean, i've come from Skylines where you have every driver aid possible (and spent a fair old bit of time in Toyko driving and filming them .. was based in Chiba for a while), having said that there is something quite nice about the Cerb not having any, i feel i have to give it alot more respect.
